I recently was contacted by Microsoft and offered a contract (which I accepted) to help start a new blog for their Tier 1 ISV Team. I consider this a great honor and am very excited about the opportunity. It’s a new blog that will provide information about running ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Applications on the Microsoft SQL Server platform. My role on the team will be to blog on SQL Server features and functionality as it relates to the different Tier 1 ISV applications as well as summarize and highlight key points out of whitepaper and benchmark documents.
Here is the link to the blog: Enterprise Applications On Microsoft SQL Server
and an example article I posted this week: Policy-Based Management and Best Practices for Running Siemens Teamcenter
BenchmarkITConsulting.com will remain alive and well. I have no intentions of shutting down my personal blog or not posting on here regularily. This blog is one of the reasons I was considered and asked to work with the Tier 1 ISV Team and I get alot of personal and professional satisfaction from it. This is more just a “shout out” on what’s been going on in my world for the past few weeks and why I might not of been as “talkative” as I usually am.
It’s exciting times for me professionally and the SQL Community is like a family so I wanted to share the news.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend… my wife took the kids to Calgary to visit with her parents and for her to go to her sister’s stagette so I’m flying solo here at the Stasiuk house (other then my 2 black labs Sophie and Jedi) so that’s why you’re getting a rare weekend update 🙂
