Yeah, you're right, it's an undertaking alright. The Mac-only product Screenflow makes the video side a lot easier (built-in audio mixing, editing, titles, exporting, etc) but there's still a ton of work to do. I'm getting ready to ramp up another notch and try a two-camera setup with BoinxTV, but I'm leery of how much work it's going to be!

As a rule of thumb, I find that it typically takes around 1 hour of work for each minute of video produced. (i.e. an 8 minute video typically takes 8 hours to create/produce when you figure in the time to create a simple problem/test-environment, create any needed slides, mix audio and video, edit out bloopers, tweak sound levels, and so on).

I think that's an excellent idea BUT I'm not going to be begin to say I know the top 10 anything :)

What I can do though is create a survey and allow people to pick their favorites webcasters and then submit THOSE results

Like I said in my post I don't want to exclude any great webcasters out there just because I haven't seen alot or any of their videos.

Excellent. Thanks for sharing. Hey, why don't you turn this into a list of 10 and submit it to PASS. We need more top 10 lists. A top 10 web casts or web casters list would be cool.
