Crazy May Days

Sorry for the lack of posts/updates this week.  I’ve been very busy trying to get ready for EDMPASS’s first meeting which is looking to be great.  I have also been spending most of my free time going through the Database Administration Abstract submissions for the PASS Summit.

Major May Dates:

May 20th – The final review date for the database administration abstracts for the PASS Summit

May 23rd – Groomsman for Chris and Davida’s wedding (Colin in a kilt pictures to follow LOL)

May 28th – EDMPASS First Meeting

I’ve been trying to keep up to date with what’s going on @ Tech-Ed this week via Twitter and my fellow bloggers 🙂 as it just wasn’t in the cards for me to be there this time around.

From a SQL Server point of view it sounds like the SQL Server 2008 R2 announcement was the big news so far.  Jason Strate has a great recap here: SQL Server 2008 R2.  I’m looking forward to reading more great articles about Tec-Ed and SQL Server 2008 R2.

Have a great day!

  1. Telstra has admitted to taking more pre-orders than the number of phones it will be able to deliver to customers on launch day, and waiting times have already blown out to a month or more on certain models.
